We had one table tennis table in Simba dorm- boarders invented their own game . You did not even need a bat.10 could play for a start- as you ran around the table you returned the ball over the net with the palm of your hand . If it never went over you were out. When there were 4 left they played doubles . Or when there were two left you played singles. A fair way of elimination . Simple and straight forward - no cheating at all .After the game was over the same procedure was followed all over again before the next game . Did you play ??
